Jacquelyn Lauricella was born
on October 30, 1991. She started TaeKwonDo at the age of 8 on June 15, 1999
under the instruction of Bruno Perez at a school called TaeKwonDo Unlimited. A
month after she started TaeKwonDo, Jacquelyn immediately joined the competition
team. She competed and placed in many local tournaments, then went on to compete
in three State Qualifiers placing gold (1st place) at each event.
Jacquelyn also competed in two Jr. Olympics placing Bronze (3rd place) in
sparring at each one, under the instruction of Master Perez. She also received
her red tip while training at Master Perez’s school.
After her last State Qualifier, Jacquelyn and her parents decided to change TaeKwonDo schools. That’s when she started attending MuSool Academy of Martial Arts under the instruction of Master Shelby Creech. About two weeks after joining the school, Jacquelyn went on to compete at her third Jr. Olympics, placing gold (1st place) in sparring. In November, 2002 Jacquelyn tested for her red belt, and later tested for her black belt on January 29, 2005. She has cross-trained in TaeKwonDo and HapKiDo, and has been in TaeKwonDo for 5 years. Jacquelyn plans to stick with her training as long as she possibly can.
